Encinitas Cosmetic Dentistry Offers Big Benefits with Microscopic Technology

Drs. Coffey and Henninger utilize microscopic dentistry to increase precision and grow satisfied patients.
While the technology is highly advanced, the concept is rather simple. The more clearly a dentist can see the miniscule intricacies of a tooth, the more efficient and effective the doctor will be when performing a procedure.

Drs. Coffey and Henninger, each an Encinitas cosmetic dentist with Encinitas Dental Art, recognize the benefits of microscopic dentistry and offer it to their patients.
“There’s really no comparing the level of quality one can achieve,” says Dr. Coffey, a well-known member of Encinitas cosmetic dentistry for more than 26 years. “Not only does the technology drastically enlarge the tiny size of the inside of a tooth, it can also illuminate it. I can see things now I never would have seen before with the naked eye.”
“The benefits are two-fold,” adds Dr. Henninger. “The patients feel good that their procedure has been done perfectly, but there’s also the added benefit of knowing inside myself that nothing was missed. That’s because it virtually can’t be missed.”

A root canal is a good example. The root is like a very thin, tiny straw that holds even smaller debris. The doctor’s objective is to clear away as much debris as possible. What is normally a painstaking task is made infinitely easier when enlarged many times its normal size.

“I get to see it all,” says Lorraine Carter, a patient of Encinitas Dental Art for over 10 years and fan of the Encinitas dentists. “And when the doctor shows me what he was trying to achieve, I can actually look and see that he was successful.”
“That’s the beauty of microscopic dentistry,” Dr. Coffey adds. “When we put the images of their tooth on their own ceiling monitor for them to view, patients get to see what’s going on in their tooth and it gives them a sense of confidence that they’re in good hands. It’s invaluable.”

Wouldn’t all this technology cost more for the patient? “We are competitively priced with any dentist in Encinitas,” offers Sash Bivin, on staff with Encinitas Dental Art for 20 years. “Of course there may be an Encinitas dentist with slightly lower rates, but when one compares the value, the choice becomes a very easy one to make. We’re really operating at the highest levels of Encinitas cosmetic dentistry.”

Encinitas Dentist Known for Giving Patients a New Look, does Same for Practice

After 26 years as one of the most successful Encinitas Dentists, Dr. Ed Coffey changes the name of his practice to Encinitas Dental Art.

Dr. Ed Coffey is an Encinitas Dentist who is practicing what he preaches. After 26 years of recommending that an enhanced look enhances one’s life, he has taken his own advice and changed his practice name to Encinitas Dental Art—it’s a move that comes with new graphic identification and new signage. His office, just north of El Camino Real on Encinitas Boulevard, will bear the new look starting August, 2010.

Those who are used to traveling Encinitas Boulevard and seeing Dr. Coffey’s sign may a bit surprised not to see the name of the popular Encinitas cosmetic dentist. But not to worry. It’s still Dr. Coffey, just new and improved.

Why is Dr. Coffey willing to part with such high recognizability? “There comes a time in the life of every business when you must breathe new life into it,” says Dr. Coffey. “And while I have become perhaps the most recognizable Encinitas Dentist, parting with that name does not concern me. Remarkable service, a kind and attentive staff, a tremendous work ethic, and excellence in dentistry will always bring people to our door. When it comes to their oral health, people will always seek the things that matter most. And that’s when they will find us.”

But why Encinitas Dental Art? Says Dr. Coffey, “It’s not a name I would have chosen for myself if it were not for the comments I receive from my patients. So many of them are amazed at how I diagnose their problem and then subsequently enhance their smile as well as their bite, that many have commented that I’m a true artist at what I do.”

Will anything else about the practice change? “Just one more thing,” says Dr. Coffey. Dr. Chris Henninger has joined Encinitas Dental Art and the Encinitas dental community. After serving for four years in the U.S. Navy where he was responsible for maintaining the dental health of over 1,200 sailors on the USS Boxer, Dr. Henninger brings a wealth of knowledge in general, cosmetic and implant dentistry. He is an active participant in the community and is committed to maintaining up-to-date knowledge in the latest dental procedures and technology. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, as well as the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
